I won a competition, open to design companies throught the Bromley area. My logo and identity design were used for the Orpington BID which was widely visible throughout the Orpington area. I created the initial prospectus document which helped win the BID, in addition I created identity guidelines and numerous collateral material including: A monthly newsletter, Adshel posters, window stickers, flag displays, Twitter page, t-shirts and cups. The brand is still very visible throughout the high street and shopping centre.
I managed to impress a Grand Master. From initially creating a website for the International Academy of WingChun - Bromley, I have moved on to create the site for Great Britain, I am now working on all UK WingChun sites in their portfolio. All sites are fully responsive for web and handheld devices. From this I have been contacted by other martial arts organisations - apparently my sites are 'very impressive', I'm not going to argue.
This newsletter is initially emailed to client's using a template that I have created, this links into news and the online version of the newsletter hosted on the site via ISSUU. Email marketing plays a big part in my role now, I send out quite a few different emails and have used various systems including Mail Chimp, Pure360 and DotMailer, these have been used to deliver invitations, notifications and news updates. Through these systems I am able to check open rates, delivery and other statistics which are proving this to be a cost effective and reliable facility for delivering messages.
This site has been created on behalf of a growing consortium of businesses who wish to offer a 'one stop shop' of services to their clients. I am responsible for the site and email marketing on their behalf. I am also tasked with setting up various seminars and have opted to do this using online software which allows bookings, confirmations, tickets and joining instructions to be hosted centrally; cutting out the need to email or post any information.
I am currently implementing a company rebrand. This will entail new website, intranet, letterhead and all marketing material. 2014 will be the 25th anniversary of calfordseaden, the plan is to publicise this across social media and through marketing campaigns, I continue to implement this in time for next year.
I have been producing this magazine for a number of years now and have helped it to evolve and grow; the last few issues have had a readership of around 7,000 people which make it one of calfordseaden's most powerful marketing tools. Traditionally this was a printed newsletter but over time it has developed into an online publication. The quality of the design and layout has been commented on by competitors over the year's and is something that I wish to keep at the forefront of it's industry by continuing to improve and progress the way it is delivered.
I have been fortunate enough to have designed quite a few invitations for prestigious events. They have been an opportunity to investigate different paper stocks, foil blocking and die cutting etc. Each time I have provided photography; this example was printed using litho techniques and then personalised using digital technology. This required a good understanding of the options available to me and meant liaising and meeting with suppliers to finalise a brief for what was achievable.
I worked at several of KPMG's central London sites including Salisbury Square (off of Fleet Street) and on the 10th and 38th floors at Canada Square in Canary Wharf. I supported consultants with presentation and marketing material and worked on print projects. At times these roles were demanding with a shift system in operation to provide a 24 hour graphics service.
I was employed as a senior team member, responsible for mentoring others. It was essential to follow strict company identity guidelines and meet deadlines on a regular basis. I needed to have a thorough knowledge of the design process. I liaised with external suppliers and in particular dealt with litho and digital printers on behalf of the graphics department.
I worked as part of a team to produce this 500 catalogue, this edition was the first hard backed catalogue within the office supplies industry and was received very well, earning great praise. The design was created by brainstorming and for a period of time I worked in-house at a consulting design agency.
Over a period of 6 weeks I worked alongside other team members and freelance staff. We needed to be very organised and quick to meet the launch date.
The design of the catalogue was adopted for other marketing material, vehicle livery and I ended up advising on the company reception which was designed in the same style; I still sometimes see the 'Banner delivery vans' with my design on them.
I created these illustrations and identity for a friend, a while ago now. The work included letterhead, business card, marketing literature and a website.
I am guilty of not doing enough drawing or illustrating; I enjoy it and should find more time, as I find it relaxing. I hope you like my work.
calfordseaden have exhibited at the CIH Annual Housing Conference for many years now, it has been part of my annual schedule to support this with literature, presentations and most importantly our exhibition stand. Our stand has evolved and pushed booundaries in terms of the use of space it occupies, we have always been inavitive and pushed boundaries to the envy of our competitors. In 2013 the calfordseaden stand was voted 2nd in the 'Best Designed Stand' at the exhibition; considering that there are over 250 companies exhibiting, some of which have massive budgets this is something I am proud of.
I am currently working on a rebrand for a local accountancy company. I have establised an identity which will continue through a website, letterhead, business card and email campaign which I will implement. In addition I will be helping with SEO and ad campaigns to increase website traffic and business contact.
